FAQs

Is tallow greasy?

Not at all. Our whipped tallow balm is light, fluffy, and absorbs quickly into the skin. It nourishes deeply without leaving a heavy or oily residue.

Does it smell like beef?

Tallow has a naturally earthy scent that reflects what it is-real, unprocessed nourishment from nature. Some people say that it has a faint "beefy" note, especially if you're used to fragranced or synthetic products. But many grow to love it's simplicity-and we also offer blends with essential oils if you prefer a softer aroma. Either way, we encourage you to be open-minded - it's all part of going back to what's real.

Is it safe for babies or sensitive skin?

Yes. Tallow is incredibly gentle and works beautifully on delicate skin. It’s safe for babies, nursing mamas, and anyone who wants to avoid toxins and synthetic ingredients.

What's the shelf life?

Our tallow balms are best used within 6–9 months. Keep your jar in a cool, dry place and always use clean hands when applying.

Where do you source your tallow?

We use high-quality, grass-fed beef tallow sourced from farms that prioritize animal care and clean practices. Every batch is rendered slowly by hand.

What can I use it for?

Just about everything. Our tallow balm works well as a daily moisturizer, lip balm, baby lotion, dry spot treatment, after-sun care, and even as a makeup remover. It’s a true multi-tasker.

Why do you use grapeseed, coconut, and castor oil?

I chose these oils with care. Grapeseed is light and antioxidant-rich, coconut adds natural protection, and castor helps seal in moisture—just enough to support the skin without taking away from the tallow. Each one is high quality and included with intention, to create a balm that’s gentle, nourishing, and deeply effective.

Can I return my order?

Since each jar is made by hand in small batches, we don’t accept returns or exchanges. We hope you understand—it helps us keep things simple and fresh. That said, if something seems off, feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to talk it through.
